There are
many reasons why women need donated eggs. Most women receiving donor
eggs are women whose own eggs are too old to be fertilized. The
majority of these women are over the age of 40, but our program has
helped many 30 year old women with premature menopause and premature
"old eggs". Many of the women needing donor eggs have been trying to
get pregnant on their own for several years. Some of the women needing donor eggs have
a genetic condition which requires them to use donor eggs
to prevent the genetic condition from being passed
on to their offspring. The following are stories and letters from women or families
who have received donor eggs.
- Becky's Story - After many infertility treatments Becky was told her own eggs were too old.
- Laura's Story - Laura is 5 1/2 months pregnant with twins. They are blessed by their donor's generosity.
- Melinda's Story - Melinda had a baby through egg donation after nine years of treatment.
- Lucy's Story - This is Lucy's note of thanks to her donor.
- Tammy and John's Story - This is Tammy and John's written communication with their donor.
